A Letter from Our CEO
GMW (Gun Magnet World) first started as my personal blog in November 2017 to discuss gun concealment, gun transportation, and gun organization. A lifelong gun owner and concealed carrier myself, I wanted to share my knowledge and experience with friends, family, and other gun owners looking to learn more about these topics. On the day before Halloween in 2018 after having blogged regularly for almost a year, I drove to Walmart to pick up some ammo. At the time, I was using an off-brand gun magnet that I had bought on Amazon, and had installed it on the side door of my truck to mount my CCW while driving. As I was getting out in the Walmart parking lot, I accidentally bumped my knee into the door. About a millisecond later, I heard a loud clatter.
Puzzled, I looked down to see my brand new Sig Sauer P365 was laying on the ground. The gun magnet had somehow failed and caused it to fall.
Embarrassed, I immediately reached down and snatched my P365 back up, but not before attracting the attention of several people dressed for Halloween walking by my car. One man in particular turned his head sharply towards me – he was, and I kid you not, wearing a donkey mask. I quickly pulled out my CCW permit from my wallet to show the donkey-man and called out:
“Sorry about that. I have a CCW permit. My gun just fell out”.

After the donkey-man hurried off with his two friends, I knelt down and peeled off the rubber cover of the gun magnet. To my surprise, half of the space underneath the rubber cover that should’ve been covered with magnets, was not. The manufacturer had simply used half the number of magnets advertised, so the gun magnet was half as strong. Because of this corner cutting, I had to go through a potentially dangerous situation AND my brand new P365 was scratched.
For gun owners who shop online, this story probably doesn’t come as too big of a shock. Poor product quality aside, many gun accessories sold online today are very prone to failure because they are developed and sold by companies that don’t actually understand the needs and real life experiences of gun owners.
As a gun owner, the gun accessories that I use are crucial to my protection. I use them because I know we live in times when “things” happen – in a time of great political upheaval, rising crime, and an uncertain future for gun rights. Being ready at all times isn’t an option – it’s a necessity. Gun ownership is not only my 2nd Amendment right, but also an integral part of my everyday life.
Because of these realities, I and many other gun owners rely heavily on the gun accessories that we use to both LAST and FUNCTION as desired, every single time. On that day before Halloween in 2018, the last thing I needed was uncertainty surrounding my safety and protection.
Armed with a sense of purpose, I decided to launch GMW to bring better gun accessories to the market that I myself would feel confident using and entrusting my life to.
After extensive product development and market research, we launched our first gun magnets in March 2019. Now with over 10 top selling products on the market today (gun magnets, gun socks, and magazine holsters), we’re still growing – as of February 2021, we have over 20 new products in development, slated to be launched in 2021 and 2022. All of our products go through months (and now, years) of research and development, with countless hours spent on prototyping and testing under as many real life situations as possible to ensure failproof, consistent, long term performance for our customers.
When the GMW gun accessories brand was started, we didn’t want to be just another fly-by-night on the Internet, littering the market with knock-off, low quality, unsafe gun accessories. We wanted to separate ourselves by offering great products, sensible pricing, and attentive customer service to help our customers have the best purchasing experience possible.
