    Using for Ruger lcp, just a bit heavy for my wife to break it away, so I put a piece of Velcro over it and it’s perfect.
    Was so impressed I ordered a second set, one for my son and one to hang a patriotic wreath on the front door.

    We purchased these to be able to mount gun’s in hidden placea. They work great. The adhesive didn’t want to stick to wood but haven’t tried to stick on anything else. However the installation was super easy with the screws. These magnets are very strong be careful almost pinched my fingers getting them out of the case. We used these to install one mount under night stand table and one in our kitchen cabinets. I would definitely recommend these mounts.

    Misleading product description. Discrimination states that the gun will not move. This is true only if you use both magnets. I mounted these ion my Pacifica console for my Glock 43. One would not keep the gun from moving (turning) while the van was sitting still! Also the adhesive tape on the back is useless because it’s not thick enough to make contact.

    The rubber or outer cover really protects your gun from scratches. Very well made.

    This magnet is a beast. It’s so strong that the adhesive is useless. Literally peels right off the underside of my desk when trying to pry my gun off it. Had to screw it in. Super strong and sturdy. Sucks my gun right out of my hand if you’ve got a loose grip.

    Magnets are so strong they’ll pinch your fingers between the magnet and whatever is metal (pistols) if you’re not careful. Also when trying to screw in the screws during mounting, the magnet made it a little tricky as it kept pulling the screw away from the screw driver. Well worth the extra effort to mount because it holds my Glocks securely. Mounted one under my computer desk (Glock 43X), the other (Glock 23) on the inside door of a nightstand.

    Great product the magnets seem to be strong enough to secure a smaller firearm in place under a shelf or desk, I know they’re for magazines but they’re a good alternative to consider in your home. I won’t recommend it securing a firearm in a vehicle, definitely a magazine!

    This is a great product and if you’re thinking about it I have words of caution for you. I have one of these mounted to the wall next to my bed and it’s great but its a little too strong. I’m only holding a pistol so I don’t need 45lbs of force. It’s a problem for me because if you’re not carefull the magnet will pull the gun into itself so forcefully it could damage the wall or sights. The only way I’ve found to overcome this is to carefully and with both hands guide the gun onto the magnet and even then if you’re not perfectly aligned it’ll slam the gun into the wall. If I could go back and get something else I’d get a different one that wasn’t as strong just to avoid this issue. As others have mentioned as well the adhesion pad is trash but it’s only meant to hold it while you screw it in. I’m still giving this product five stars because it does exactly what it says it will.

    I used this to mount a home defense weapon, and had trouble with gravity taking over and it sliding down off the magnet. I dropped a quick note to the seller to see if I was goofy or if, as one poster said, the surface just wasn’t “grippy” enough. Turns out I was goofy – while investigating a few suggestions, I found the issue and it was NOT the magnet (a sling swivel was holding the item far enough from the wall/magnet that there was not full enough contact for the magnet to hold). A solid mounting – using screws, the adhesive is just to hold into place while inserting screws – resulted in an outstanding hold for a variety of handguns and long guns. I see some have mentioned using this on a workshop and that would be an ideal use case as well!
    I would give this five stars for the product alone (can’t blame GMW for my oversight), but the customer service was even better. I reported back my findings and embarrassment at the cause and received excellent feedback and a bit of compensation for having to contact them in the first place. Above and beyond, for certain.

    Very nice. Not the usual Chinese “junk”. Made in USA and is very substantial. The most important feature, the coating, was “Top Notch”! I dont have any firearms under $500, and I dont want to ruin the finishes on them. NO mars, scratches, residue, or scuffs!
    Holds everything from a Colt Python or M1011 – or a Walther PPK.

    The magnet is very, very, powerful, a bit of overkill for a handgun. I had some issues with the screws (2 packs of different lengths are included) stripping with the driver and and going sideways but i’ll chalk that up to, maybe, my clumsiness. Next time ill use different wood screws. The magnet holds the gun securely (understatement!) . You really need to practice the right way to remove the handgun from the magnet, safely. There isn’t much room to grasp around the handle to pull it away. Be careful. I wish the magnet had more height to create more space between the magnet and the gun for a safer “draw”. Thus the reason i gave it 4 stars instead of 5
