    This magnet is great for a subcompact pistol or revolver. The surface is gun friendly and doesn’t leave any marks. I’d recommend these mounts to friends without hesitation. Excellent product.

    So I do own a gun. The one in the picture is a Ruger 9mm. Typically I keep it in its case because I’ve never really had a place I felt comfortable keeping it. These magnets are pretty straightforward. in the box there are 2 magnets and a set of screws, along with some instructions. The magnets themselves have an adhesive backing (which is the while part you see in the picture of the magnet attached to the gun). As the instructions indicate, however, the adhesive backing will not be enough to hold the magnet securely; you have to use the screws. I haven’t decided where I’m going to put the magnets yet, but since you are given two of them, you have a couple of options if you want to move it. Or, you can use one magnet for the gun and the other one to hold an extra magazine.

    Needless to say, this is an object for a household without children. It’s clearly intended for adults to be able to access the gun more conveniently if they have a need to.

    While the item works perfectly for the gun, I’m sure there are other uses for such a strong magnet, particularly in the garage if you have a workshop, as I do.

    In sum, these are strong magnets, and they are simple, but effective, and they do what they are intended for.

    Strong set of deceptively small magnets. Easy to mount, with adhesive strip and basic mounting hardware. Note that the package does not include anchors. Each magnet surrounded with foam-type frame to protect against scratches – thoughtful detail.

    Every bit as strong as they claim! I did some testing with Glock 19, and though I don’t have a scale to test the exact strength of the magnet, it held my gun VERY well. I lost the instructions somewhere, but mounting is straight forward. Everything is included besides the tools.

    One note of caution, keep your fingers away from getting pinched between the magnets. They are strong enough to hurt… A lot.

    Strong enough to hold up a handgun, but not grippy enough to keep it from rotating.

    Adhesive on the back didn’t work on either of mine, the bases were concaved in just enough that it didn’t make enough contact to work, I had to use a couple of command strips to mount both.

    vendor reached out and shipped me a stronger magnet to see if that would fix the problem. It didn’t (now I can’t get adhesives to hold, the magnet rips off with the gun), but I do appreciate their responsiveness. The 75lb magnet would hold essentially anything if you had the ability to screw it in.

    I’m bumping this to 4 stars. The communication with the seller has been above and beyond. They pointed out something that I missed in the instructions, all the magnets should be screwed in for installation, and none should rely on the adhesives (or in my case command strips). I feel these products would perform exactly as described if screwed in. HOWEVER, I still feel this smaller magnet would have worked for me perfectly if the surface was grippier, instead of slick plastic. My one smaller magnet is mounted with command strips and is working great, but any larger gun I put on it rotates around eventually due to the weight. A grippier surface would have fixed that issue, negating the need for a 75lb version.

    I purchased these as a gift for a gun collector friend. As soon as he received them he put them up and placed a couple of his pistols on them. He was delighted with the strength and the small size of the magnets. They were perfect for the place he wanted to use them. He plans to order several more.
    By the way, I have known this man for 20 years and only once given him a gift he really likes. This will go in my journal as the the second time! For him to plan to order more should tell you how much he loves these magnets.

    This magnet is a great combination of strength and size. If you are willing to put 2 screws into a piece of furniture or your car council, I highly recommend it. I use it with my full size handgun on the inside of a cabinet door and have to issues. The down side is the 2 screws. It comes with adhesive on the back but the adhesive is only strong enough to hold it in place until the screws get put in.

    These magnets would work well for a smaller gun. You definitely have to screw them in because the adhesive wont work. We actually use them in the garage for tools we use often.

    I purchased a much larger one in the past and it was not suitable for my handguns. I ended up not even using it.
    These small magnets are exactly what I needed. I put one behind my nightstand by my bed and one above the door in my closet. The protective coating is sturdy and should last a long time. They are strong little suckers (watch your fingers!)
    I’m very happy with my purchase.
    I may end up buying a couple more for my cars.

    Solid one piece tpu case, only 2 screws vs 4. Self adhesive already installed and really strong magnet. I bought eagle grips and returned, nowhere close in quality as these.

    I like it they are small, but my Jennings 22 pistol, and bodyguard .380 rotate on the magnet and almost fall off..dont really trust 1 per firearm..so will probably be looking for something more rectangle shaped

    Powerful magnets do a great job of holding my guns. Unless you have a very heavy gun you probably don’t want stronger magnets than these. They really grab the flat surface of the slide on a Glock. Pro tip: If you’re installing these on a hardwood surface do yourself a favor and drill pilot holes first. Maybe then you won’t twist off the heads of the screws like I did.

    These were a lot smaller then I imagined, but regardless they are super powerful and hold a gun very well. Like I said my step-dad installed his under the drivers seat in his truck. He said you would only know the gun was there if you were told or searching the car. Which no one will be doing with out his consent. I think it is awesome you can put one of these under your desk and have protection out of sight, but always in arms reach. One more good thing about this product is the affordable price. All and all I would say this gun magnet is lovely!
